Shares 1 (shake)
- 1 cup Frozen sweet cherries
- 3/4 cup Standard size ice cubes
- 3/4-1 cup Dairy-free milk (plain, unsweetened // we like almonds)
- 1-2 Shovels Chocolate protein powder* (or vanilla or unflavored)
- 1-3 teaspoon Cocoa powder (or cocoa powder)
- 1 A small handful Baby spinach (My choice //for added feed)
- 1 tablespoon Cashew butter (My choice // to get rich)
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract (My choice)
- 1-2 teaspoon maple syrup (My choice // This includes if using unsweetened protein powder // or pitted dates)
-
To A High speed mixer (Or a smaller powerful blender e.g NutriBullet) Add cherries, ice, dairy-free milk (starting with a smaller amount), protein powder, and cocoa powder (use less if using chocolate protein and more if using unflavored/vanilla protein). Optionally, add baby spinach, cashew butter, and vanilla. For a sweeter shake or if using unsweetened protein powder, add maple syrup (starting with a smaller amount).
-
Mix on high speed until thick and smooth, adding more dairy-free milk or using a plunger as needed to encourage mixing. Taste and adjust as needed, adding more cocoa powder and maple syrup as desired.
-
Serve immediately (texture/flavor is best when fresh) or freeze in an ice cube tray and remix (add dairy-free milk as needed) to enjoy later.
