Ingredient notes
This blueberry protein shake contains full-fat Greek yogurt, almond milk, and Protein powder As sources of protein.
Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt isnutrient dense probiotic food,“Which has a lot of benefits. You can substitute vegan yogurt if you don’t eat dairy products or even use cottage cheese instead.
Almond milk: I prefer unsweetened almond milk, but any milk of my choice will work for this recipe. Try these ready-made smoothies.
Berries: I love a protein shake with almost any fruit! Instead of blueberries, you can also try banana, pineapple, strawberries, mango, or raspberries.
Protein powder: I prefer to use vanilla protein powder for this recipe. (For help with protein powder, see my post Protein powder | The ultimate guide for beginners)

ingredients
- ¾ cup Unsweetened almond milk Or your favorite milk
- ½ cup Full fat Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop Vanilla protein powder
- ¾ cup Frozen berries
- 3-4 Ice cubes As needed for a thicker texture
- 1 teaspoon Raw honey Optional for extra sweetness
directions
-
Starting with almond milk, place all ingredients in a blender. Depending on your blender settings, first start in chopping mode to chop up the ice and frozen berries, followed by pureeing the mixture for a smooth, even consistency.
-
To get your preferred consistency, you can also start by not adding any ice, following the other steps above. Once all the other ingredients are mixed together, slowly add the ice, mix and test. Continue adding more ice cubes until the desired consistency is reached.
-
If it is too thick, you can add more almond milk little by little. If it’s not sweet enough, add more honey.
